  • Import Export Code (for import/export businesses)

  • Water analysis report (for packaged drinking water units)

  • NOCs from municipality/local body (if required)

Process to Obtain Central FSSAI License

  1. Eligibility Check – Verify turnover & business category.

  2. Document Preparation – Collect all required business & product details.

  3. Application Filing – Submit online application on FoSCoS portal.

  4. Inspection – FSSAI officers may inspect your premises/factory.

  5. Approval – After verification, FSSAI issues a 14-digit Central License number.

Validity & Renewal

  • Validity: 1 to 5 years (as chosen during registration).

  • Renewal: Apply at least 30 days before expiry to avoid penalties.
