Process of Getting FSSAI Manufacturing License

  1. Determine License Type – Based on turnover & scale of manufacturing unit.

  2. Document Preparation – Collect and verify all required documents.

  3. Online Application – File application on FoSCoS portal.

  4. Government Inspection – FSSAI may inspect the premises & machinery.

  5. License Approval – After successful verification, a 14-digit FSSAI Manufacturing License number is issued.

Validity & Renewal

  • Validity: 1 to 5 years (as chosen during application).

  • Renewal: Must be applied for 30 days before expiry to avoid penalties.
