Who Needs RERA Registration?

  2. Real Estate Agents / Brokers – Individuals or firms facilitating buying, selling, or marketing of real estate.

  3. Ongoing Projects (without Completion Certificate) – Must be registered under RERA.

  • PAN Card & Aadhaar Card

  • Incorporation/Partnership documents (if firm)

Registration Process
  1. Application Filing – Submit online application on respective State RERA portal.

  2. Document Upload – Provide required documents, plans, and declarations.

  3. Scrutiny by Authority – Verification of land title, approvals, and promoter details.

  4. Approval & Certificate Issue – RERA Registration Number is issued.


Validity
  • For Projects: Till the declared project completion date.

  • For Agents: 5 years, renewable thereafter.


Penalties for Non-Compliance

❌ Developers without RERA Registration – Penalty up to 10% of project cost.
❌ Continued default – Imprisonment up to 3 years with fine.
❌ Agents operating without registration – Penalty of ₹10,000 per day up to 5% of property value.
